Madonna?
I'm always be impressed from Madonna even if I'm not a her big fan. I think that she is an alternative singer that gave music world something different. She is a rebel singer. She doesn't care about the judgment of the society. I don't know if she really believe in her songs but I think that it doesn't matter because we recive some messages from her songs and this is not going to change with her thinking. She wants appear like a transgressive woman. It's ok. She gives us an openness message.
Everybody should be free to choose about his lifestyle and Madonna help this people to believe in what they think was right.
So bye bye miss American Pie,
drove my Chevy to the lavee but the levee was dry...

I have a dream
Martin Luther King talks about a dream. This dream is about equality among every people on earth and especially bewtween African American and White people. During the years after the World War II black people weren't considerate equal to white people so they couldn't use the same bus or the same houses. The MLK dream means freedom. The MLK dream means equality.
But when I think the American Dream I think about another thing. In Europe in the 60's American Dreams meant to have a "better life" . The United States had to be a country where If you work hard you would be happy and have a perfect family, a big house and a big cars. Maybe in 60's this could be the best dream that everbody could imagine. But I feel that the 60's American Dream was something fake. Something based on consumerism. "If you want to be happy you have to buy this. And in the USA you can have it!". Certainly this my opinion is influenced by movies or articles that I've seen or read.
I think that now the time is changed and the American Dream is not the same.
I think that now foreign people belive in a different American Dream than before.
In USA if you are a smart person that you like to work you can find a very good job and earn a lot. But the life style is completely different from Europe. I feel that here is more difficult to build a good personal life and find friends. I could be wrong but this is what I perceive now.
In Italy I've never heard about an Italian Dream that could be similar to the American Dream.
My dream should be understand why a prime minister can have all the television and the news paper...how is it possible?
I'm just livin' out the American Dream
And I just realized that nothing is what it seems.
And I just realized that nothing is what it seems.

Why don't you play an instrument?
Maybe you are asking for which is the link between the blog title the post title, right?
Just for now you have to trust me and let me talk about one of my favourite hobby.
Playing guitar.
I have started when I was 16 years old because I decided to build a band with two of my friends.
At the beginnig we were in three people. One of my friend has studied piano since when he was 5 years old and the other one wanted to play the bass. So i started play guitar just for a kind of game because the alternative should be to play the drum. So we needed a drumer and a singer and we found them in my high school.
This band was called Absolute Kenny (ABK) from the South Park cartoon.
We had played togheter for 6 years. We were a cover band playng different artists. We started with Smashing Pumpinks, Green Day and Beatles and we finished with some italian artists.
But one of the things that I love to do it is play guitar on the beach, in a party or at the end of one saturday night among some friends. It's so funny.
It was sad when we decided that we couldn't play togheter anymore but it was necessary. Everyone had a lot of things to do: work, university and first real girlfriend. A lot of things that take a lot of time.
But it's not a sad blog. No bad things.
But if you don't play any instrument start to play one just now. Really...
Without music life would be a mistake.
